Just as Monday officially
begins, the Moon hits a sweet spot. It does involve a conjunction to
Pluto in Capricorn at midnight. But, it also lights up a sweet
mini-trine by way of sextile to both Jupiter Rx in Scorpio and Sun in
Pisces. All this occurs between that midnight conjunction with Pluto
and ending with the sextile to Jupiter at 5:01 AM. That being said,
even after the Moon moves on, these other planets are not going
anywhere very fast. Fastest moving would be the Sun who will fall out
of orb of this in the next few days. But, today, this rather
empowering mini-trine (Sun/Pluto/Jupiter) is in force. The Sun
officially trines Jupiter tomorrow evening. That will mark the
beginning of the break up of the Sun's involvement. However, Jupiter
and Pluto will be in orb (have been in orb of this) for quite some
time. Right now, the orb between the sextile of the God of Heaven and
the Lord of Hell is at about 3 degrees. As Jupiter retrogrades, this
aspect only gets tighter lasting the duration of this month and all
the way into mid-April where the two officially meet at 21 degrees of
their respective signs on April 14. At that point, the aspect begins
to wane. But, yes, of course, it will eventually come back once
Jupiter is direct. If you want to know what that may mean, click here for the separate blog entry about it. If you have
questions about it in relation to your chart, come see me. That's
kinda what I do.

As the Moon and the day moves forward into our early afternoon, this calm smooth access to power is briefly interrupted by a square from the Moon in Capricorn to Uranus in Aries.
Now. That can be unsettling.
Unexpected things can rattle the emotional system. Mishaps happen.
But, the best way to get “down” with that energy is to embrace a
willingness toward change and evolution. This is an aspect that
rattles us out of the old ways of doing things and challenges us to
engage on a higher mental level. To come up with new and more
supportive ways of doing things. But, it's not comfortable. Yet
discomfort what it often takes for people to be able to climb out of
the ruts they are residing in. It pushes us out of our comfort zones,
basically. And, that, my friends, is going to be an even bigger and
longer ordeal when Uranus comes to the sign of Taurus. Any place you
find yourself residing complacently and comfortably is not going to
be so comfortable anymore when we meet with that transit. Today's
lunar square just provides a brief blip of that.
Typical Astrology calls out
the Moon as Void following her aspect with Uranus at 11:37 AM. My
jury on that is still out but there is a following sextile to Chiron
at 2:35 PM. The Moon remains Void until entering the sign of Aquarius
at 6:45 PM. The square from the Moon to Uranus breaks up some
stagnant energy. Then, when the Moon clicks to Aquarius, things
lighten up as the element of Air returns to us for the next few days.
Well, the MOOD lightens up but we also have a squash on our “ready
to move forward” hearts by way of Venus in Aries in square to
Saturn in Capricorn waxing in tomorrow morning. Fire hearts and a
willingness to chase after or fight for what we want is tempered and
matured here. The end result of that is better boundary toward our
goal. But, Venus square Saturn feels a lot like being cast out of
paradise. Meaning...it's not exactly fun or polite or tolerant of
whiny selfish pleas of “What about me and mine?” So, stow those
and grow up your ambitions in effort to manage this properly. Plus,
Moon in Aquarius says to step back in observance of your emotions
more so than allowing yourself to be sucked in by them.

The big news this morning is
the culmination of Venus in Aries in square to Saturn that I
mentioned in yesterday's write up. That square completes at 8:40 AM
this morning meaning the restriction on pleasure was likely felt
waxing in yesterday and it hangs in the air heavy today as well.
Again the Moon's presence in Aquarius helps us to stand off in
observation of how our emotional body responds to this. But, the main
call of it is to grow yourself up and continually to wrap your
initiatives around your long term goals. In that way, the curtailment
of Venus to Saturn could just be you telling yourself “no” in
regard to purchase of a new fascination so that you can, instead,
save your money to invest in these longer term schemes. I mean, maybe
you are banking money for a future vacation and that is why you are
curbed on buying something new. Either way, even though cold and
harsh, it can be used with maturity and foresight.
The Sabian Symbols for this
square read as follows (and are the same symbols in force when
Mercury squared Saturn over the weekend):
For Venus at Aries 9: A
seer gazes with concentration into a crystal sphere. Direction from
within. Taking advantage of all factors in a given situation, and
knowing when to make decisions. (That's what Dane Rudhyar says) To
me, this symbol also represents Aries' tendency to want not only to
be first but also be the first to know (Mercury is right there...this
is Moon in future gazing Aquarius...the Sun in psychic Pisces who is
trine “I know your deepest darkest fears and secrets” Jupiter in
Scorpio). Here, we attempt to project into the future based on past
experience and acquired wisdom in an effort to figure out what may be
coming up for us next and may discover a few blocks we will have to
overcome upon that path which are brought curtly to our attention by
Saturn.
For Saturn at Capricorn 9:
An angel carrying a harp comes through a heavenly lane. The basic
harmony of fulfilled selfhood. Realizing harmony in everyday life
through dedicated and lofty understanding (Rudhyar). The symbol
brings harmony and music along with the presence of angels. All of a
sudden, we realize, life actually has very little to do with what you
physically have. It's more about perspective, faith, learning and
giving yourself to permission to find your own source of inner
harmony.
At 11:22 AM, the Moon
coddles Venus in Aries by sextile helping her manage the now waning
aspect from big daddy, Saturn. Then, the Sun waxes into glorious
water trine with Jupiter in Scorpio as the Moon moves on to inspire
Mercury in Aries at 5:37 PM. So going into this day, the feeling is
kind of harsh and restricted. But, as everything moves forward that
begins to break up and we begin to feel better, more confident and,
once again, ready to move forward. Mars does square Chiron overnight.
So don't take off more too fast and too quickly because you are
liable to end up metaphorically shooting yourself in the foot if you
do. Instead, slow and steady with an astute sense of consciousness
about what actions we choose to take is called for. Pay attention to
what you are doing and why, in other words.

This morning remains bouyant
and uplifting. There is a square from our Aquarius Moon to Jupiter at
4:54 PM that threatens to blow some emotional matters out of
perspective and could cause conflict between our thinking body and
our intuitive body. Step back and observe and zoom in an out in
perspective as you need to.
Between 11:34 PM and 3:33
AM, the Moon in Aquarius hits HER sweet spot which includes tandem
sextiles to both Mars in Sagittarius and Uranus in Aries. This is
astute access to forward moving power and a willingness to foster
positive forward moving change...but it ain't great for sleeping. You
know? Still you can use this tempered but still semi-manic to
overcome metaphorical mountains if you are willing to stay up and put
it to use. Following the sextile with Uranus, the Moon is rendered
Void until entering Pisces at 6:13 AM tomorrow. That transit all by
itself will shift the mood of the atmosphere tremendously. Burn off
the mania if it finds you and earmark tomorrow to move a little more
slowly and recapture some well earned rest.

Beware the Ides of March,
Caesar! Ha! That statement always gives me the shivers. Of course, it
should. I'm an uber Libra with Chiron in Aries. That's my warning
signal in mid-March...here comes Aries season! Your mileage may vary
with that. Not a good day to be Caesar, I can tell ya that.
Today is actually pretty
well boundaried. We have no major aspects going on “up there”
aside from the continual waxing of Jupiter to Pluto which colors in
the background noise. The only aspect from the Moon occurs at 10:08
PM with a SWEET supportive sextile to Saturn. That makes it day to
float, dream, rest...maybe tinker with a few things if you feel like
it. But, mostly the call to physical exertion is pretty low. These
are the days of the swiftly darkening Moon. Where we rest. Absolve.
Finish outstanding tasks and wipe the slate as clean as we can
turning scraps back over into the soil to enrich it for the next
planting that will come by way of the New Moon in Pisces on St.
Patrick's Day. As a matter of fact, tomorrow, when the drawing
poultice energy of the dark moon is the most astute, the Moon touches
three Major Gods rather amicably and re-ignites what the Sun lit up
for us at the beginning of the week. This is dissolve, resolution and
support delivered to the Moon here. And it all begins...with a dream
or intuitive inkling that likely births itself in our awareness
tonight.

This morning, we are likely
moving slowly as the Moon finds Neptune (Poseidon) by conjunction at
9:47 AM. If you can, sleep in. If you cannot, take things slow and
wrap yourself with solid boundary. This somewhat ethereally water
colored Mood created by the Moon and Neptune lasts the better part of
the day. We are highly sensitive and highly intuitive. If you need to
purge through the emotional system, this is the day to do so. Feed it
to the waning Moon.
At 10:09 PM, the emotional
system begins to restore through an empowering sextile to Pluto
(Hades) in Capricorn which operates to recycle any residual emotional
sludge. This clears the way for more dreams, insight, wisdom and
intuitive hits which are delivered by way of a trine to Jupiter
(Zeus) in Scorpio at 2:12 AM. Purge. Purge. Rest. Rest. Finish things
up and keep letting stuff dissolve into the periphery. This is going
to set us up quite nicely for the fresh start offered to us under
tomorrow morning's New Moon in Pisces. That Moon is conjunct Chiron
in Pisces and semi-sextile Uranus in Aries. I will write more about
it as the week moves forward. But, know, you need to be more gentle
with yourself than forceful under this lunation while also being
prepared to move on to new things which is what Uranus is pulling us
toward.
